At 2230 hours 12/22/05 NJSAR received a mutual aid request from Central Jersey Technical Rescue Team to assist the Fanwood, NJ police department in the search for a 72-year old woman missing since 1630 hours 12/22/05. The woman was found about 8 miles from her home at 0100 hours 12/23/05.

At 1730 hours 12/6/05 NJSAR received a standy request for mutual aid request from Central Jersey Technical Rescue Team for a search for a missing77-year old man in Oakhurst, NJ. The missing man was found before NJSAR was dispatched.

At 2130 hours 11/27/05 NJSAR received a mutual aid request from the New York State Federation of Search and Rescue for a search for a missing 40-year old woman in Clifton Park, NY. NJSAR resources responded to the search on 11/30/05. The woman was found in western Massachusetts.

At 2210 hours 11/22/05 NJSAR received a request from the Palisades Interstate Park Police in Alpine, NJ to assist in the search for a 29-year woman missing since 1630 hours 11/22/05. NJSAR responded by 2300 hours 11/22/05. The missing woman was found at 0130 hours 11/23/05 by a Bergen County Police K9 unit at the bottom of the Palisades and was evacuated by a multi-agency team lead by NJSAR. NJSAR thanks New York Search and Rescue, Ramapo Rescue Dog Association, and the Montvale, NJ Police Department for mutual aid support; Teaneck, NJ Fire Box 54 for canteen service; the Closter, NJ Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue squad for medical transport; and the Bergen County Office of Emergency Management for the use of their Command Post vehicle.

At 0400 hours 10/17/05 NJSAR received a request from the West Orange, NJ Police Department to assist in the search for a 11-year boy missing since 1630 hours 10/16/05. NJSAR responded by 0430 hours 11/17/05. The missing boy was found by 0800 hours 11/17/05. NJSAR thanks New York Search and Rescue, Ramapo Rescue Dog Association, West Jersey Canine Search and Rescue, Central Jersey Technical Rescue Team, and New Jersey Incident Response Team for mutual aid support.

At 0920 hours 10/26/05 NJSAR received a mutual aid request from Central Jersey Technical Rescue Team to assist the East Brunswick, NJ Police Department in the search for a missing 18-year old man. The search was suspended around 1350 hours. (Asbury Park Press article)

At 2100 hours 10/23/05 NJSAR was placed on standby Sunday night at the request of New York State Federation of Search and Rescue and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation for search in Norway NY for a 66-year old hunter missing since 10/22/05. At 1820 hours 10/24/05 NJSAR was requested to respond for operations beginning at 0700 on 10/25. The hunter's body was found by 2100 hours 10/29/05.

October 19, 2005 At 1550 hours 10/18/05 NJSAR was placed on standby Tuesday night at the request of Middlesex County Office of Emergency Management for a search in Sayreville NJ for a 10-year old male missing since 10/17/05. At 1720 hours 10/19/05 NJSAR was requested to respond. The 10-year old was found by a Sayreville Firefighter and an NJSAR K9 handler by 1950 hours. (Star-Ledger article)

At 2030 hours 9/17/05 NJSAR was placed on standby Saturday night at the request of Northeast Search and Rescue for a possible search in Stroudsburg PA for a 41 year old male missing since 9/8/05. At 2150 NJSAR was requested by Stroudsburg Regional Police to respond for operations beginning at 0800 on 9/18. Subject was located by search teams Sunday by 1116.

NJSAR responded to a request for a search for a missing mother and daughter hiking in Norvin Green State Forest. The search began at 11PM and the hikers were found around 3:30AM by a milti-agency team from West Milford Search and Rescue, the Passaic County Sheriff's Department and the New Jersey Forest Fire Service. NJSAR responded to a request from the Hardyston, NJ Office of Emergency Management Coordinator to assist the Sussex County Office of Emergency Management and the New Jersey State Police in a search for a missing airplane. The Cessna 182 disappeared off radar near Hardyston, NJ Sunday morning as was found late Thursday. (Bergen Record article,NJ Herald article)

NJSAR was placed on standby by the Bergen County Police Department for a missing autistic 16-year old in Rochelle Park, NJ. The 16-year od was found before NJSAR was dispatched.

West Milford Search and Rescue requested mutual aid assistance from NJSAR in the search for a missing 61-year old diabetic at 3:00AM. The missing man was found at 8:30AM suffering from exposure and was evacuated by NJSAR and WMSAR.
