NJSAR was placed on standby by the New York State Federation of Search and Rescue for a missing hunter in Minewaska State Park. The hunter was found before NJSAR was dispatched..

While still on site from prior search (below), NJSAR was approached shortly before dark by a civilian advising that her friend had collapsed at bottom of the cliff and was unable to climb back to the top. PIP Park Police were notified and NJSAR accompanied a police officer to the bottom of the cliff and verified the problem. A boat was requested via 44 Control in Rockland County NY from Piermont NY Fire Dept. Marine 13 from Piermont FD responded down the Hudson River and assisted in the evacuation by taking the victim and the rescuers to the Alpine boat basin. The Piermont Fire Chief responded to the NJSAR Command Post at the State Line Lookout to provide communication with the boat.

NJSAR assisted Palisades Interstate Park Police in Alpine NJ with a search for 2 individuals who were observed by a park employee free climbing down the sheer face of the Palisades. When they disappeared from view, there was fear that they had fallen and NJSAR was requested to search for them. They were found alive and well.

NJSAR assisted the New York State Police and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation on a search for a 52-year old woman in Walton, NY. NJSAR was one of a number of New York State Federation of Search and Rescue teams to respond.

NJSAR provided support services to the Balance® Bar Association Race Series for New York Balance Bar 24-Hour Adventure.

NJSAR responded to a search request from the Bergen County Parks Department and the Bergen County Police for two hikers missing at the Camp Gaw Ski Area, Mahwah, NJ. NJSAR began search operations at 2:30AM and the hikers were found by 7:00AM. New York Search and Rescue provided mutual aid assistance.

NJSAR assisted NYSAR in the search for missing person with Alzheimer's in a large apartment building in New York City. Person had been missing for over one week. Adjacent area had been searched but a request was made to do a thorough canine search of the building the missing person lived in. Victim was not located.

NJSAR assisted the Old Bridge Police Department on a search for a missing 69 year-old man.

NJSAR assisted the New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office in the search for Brittney Gregory, a 16-year old murder victim missing since July 11. NJSAR was activated via a mutual aid request from the New Jersey Task Force 1, the state's urban search and rescue team.

NJSAR assisted the Woodcliff Lake Police Department in a search for a 10-year old child. The child was located shortly after noon.

NJSAR conducted search operations at Ramapo Reservation, Mahwah, NJ, in a search for an adult who called the County Police to report that he was lost on one of the trails in the park. The subject was located outside of the search area while search operations were underway.
